Interposing, power and solid-state relays, timers and parameter monitoring relays.
Relays are the consumable part of a control circuit: they are replaced more often than anything else, and almost always urgently. We select the item by switched current and voltage, contact type and number, coil voltage and mounting method — with these data the replacement fits without reworking the circuit.
If the marking on the housing has worn off, a photo of the socket and a description of what the relay switches is enough. That is usually sufficient to propose a working option.
